The 'Board' tab provides the screen that allows you to change how ChessLab board is displayed. The following functionality is available:
Reverse the chessboard
If you want Black chess pieces to appear on the bottom, press the 'Reverse chessboard' button once. To have White chess pieces re-appear on the bottom, press 'Reverse chessboard' button again. Each time 'Reverse chessboard' button is pressed, the both the chess pieces and the chessboard labels change. This option causes your chess position on the board to reinitialize. To reverse the chessboard without changing your chess position, please select the 'Flip' button on the left-hand side, next to the chessboard.
Select a different set of chess pieces and change the size of the chessboard
ChessLab board allows to select 3 different sets of chess pieces. These 3 sets of chess pieces can be selected via the three buttons labeled 'Classic' , 'Ornate' and 'Small'. Selection of a 'Small' set of chess pieces decreases the size of the chessboard. To return the chessboard to its default size, select either 'Classic' or 'Ornate' chess pieces.
Select a color scheme for 'dark' and 'light' squares
ChessLab board allows the selection of multiple colors for 'dark' and 'light' squares. From the drop-down list, you can either select one of available pre-set color schemes for the chessboard or select 'Custom light squares...' or 'Custom dark squares'. The latter two choices would display a pop-up window where you would be able to select and set a desired color for light or dark board squares respectively. To return to the default color scheme, select a 'Default' entry in the same drop-down list.
